New Club Badge & Steyning Community FC Foundation

Ahead of the new season its been a very busy time at Steyning Town Community FC HQ are we are excited about a triple announcement; the launch of a new club badge, a new home & away playing kit for all teams and a new Foundation at the club.

New Club Badge and Kit

The badge design, a much more simple and modern badge than previous, shows a modern take on the St Cuthman wheelbarrow with a red surround. This is more reflective the more modern badges are more widely seen in the professional game now.
The new playing kit is again a more modern take of a traditional kit.  The red and white stripe of the Barrowmen and the traditional core colours remain. The new away kit too will remain blue & black stripes with a more modern twist. The kit will be unveiled in the coming week.
The previous badge has been in existence for around 10 years so the club thought it was time for a change, bringing in a simplified, modern club badge that is more flexible for kits, equipment, social media marketing and PR. The badge will be introduced with immediate effect and phased in on all new kits over the coming 2 seasons.

Steyning Community Football Club Foundation

At the same time we are also delighted to announce the Steyning Community Football Club Foundation, and initiative headed up by first team manager Kev Green, which will increase the reach of the football club more in to the local community. As a club we want to offer more than just football once or twice a week to our members, and want to offer more football and more related activities, both for our members and for newcomers.
The foundation will offer this via the below services which will all be rolled out over the next 12 months. As we as offering the below services to the local community, the foundation will also support a nominated local charity.
  • Player development coaching sessions in local schools
  • Running after school ‘extra time’ player development coaching sessions at club
  • Advanced coaching for talented players
  • Football ‘holiday camps’
  • Educating youngsters on physical and mental wellbeing
  • Mentoring & training youngsters to be referees and coaches
  • Delivering football programmes for the elderly, less able and isolated
  • Running programmes to encourage social inclusion

This is a very exciting time in the evolution of our club, and we hope the work being undertaken will further establish our good reputation locally and our desire to offer opportunities to our members.  Our mission is to improve lives through better physical and mental wellbeing. We hope you all get behind the Foundation and support the work we do.
