Message from the Dugout

Dear parents, carers, & youth players,

This Saturday our first team are playing Maidstone Utd in the FA Cup. As a former football league side, Maidstone have an incredible following and they have an average attendance of well over 2,000 people for their home games. We briefly discussed the possibility of switching this game to Maidstone’s ground so that we could benefit from a bigger crowd and make some money for the club. In the FA Cup the away team receives 50 percent of the gate and those funds would have been greatly received.

However, I was personally against the idea. Why? Because it’s a fantastic opportunity to bring everyone in the club together for a fixture that may never come around again. We have a fantastic youth structure full of girls & boys who deserve to witness this game at our brilliant home ground.

Currently, the men’s first team have played 11 games this season winning 10 and drawing 1. We try to play quick, attacking, passing football that hopefully people enjoy watching. Playing a team from much higher up the pyramid is going to be difficult though so we need as many of you there to support us as possible.

We sold over 200 tickets in the first 24 hours which is fantastic but we really need to pack the ground out. It’s going to be a fantastic day and one that hopefully people will talk about for a long time to come. Maidstone will bring a large away following. We want to make sure we have a loud and proud home support. This is an all ticket game. Tickets are available on the following link:

Please come along if you can and let’s show everyone what a fantastic club this is. We need you!

Up the Barrowmen!
